Job Description


    • Telco BA required for a US based start up working with a large tier one provider


    • Work on a large cloud automation and orchestration project
    • Flexible working and ability to work from home 

Join a growing US based start up who are establishing themselves in the Australian market. You will be part of a client-facing team within a major tier-one service provider driving our cutting edge cloud orchestration solution and network services rollout.

Working at multiple levels within the customer organisation and collaborating with partners and with the Solutions team, this role manages the business and technical requirements gathering and validation of new network services within the product framework.

A critical component to this role is the ability to multi-task, maintain proactive as well as efficient communication, and escalate critical issues as well as provide advice and feedback to the customers.



    • Work with customers as well as external teams to clearly define and document overall service business scope and requirements and integration points as they relate to services solution rollout and implementation.


    • Oversee multiple services scope definition, coordinating with with key contributors to help manage scope and prepare change requests.
    • Meet with technology management to gain understanding of how business goals translate to technology goals and strategies, what the business expects from IT, where it is delivering and where it is not, etc.
    • Review technology plans, objectives, organization, operations, governance policies, SLA’s (with business), IT processes, system architectures, and budgets. Collect and review any high level data describing technology plans and how the organisation operates.
    • Achieve customer satisfaction through successful delivery of defined services scope.
    • Coordinate/communicate escalations across customer teams.

Essential Criteria:



    • Minimum 6 years of prior experience in a client-facing Business Analyst role, with depth in services automation or cloud management in the telecommunication space, with a tier-one service provider. This includes knowledge of as many of the following as possible: virtualisation, orchestration, automation, networking, SDN, NFV, 4G, 5G, OpenStack and similar technologies.



    • Proven success in a software-based BA role required. Prior experience as a BA within a Cloud Services environment is highly desirable.
    • Proven ability to understand the impact of Business/technical changes, and, to articulate high level technical solutions to address business problems.




    • Experience managing Agile development projects.



    • Prior experience with Cloud Automation Solutions.
    • Proven experience working with distributed teams.
